Did you know that salad contains a great deal of water and that is why when you eat out and they bring your salad and you eat most or all of it, that you feel so full? And then, you proceed to eat everything else on top of that, even though you are not really hungry, just because you paid for it and everybody else at the table is doing it! Wrong! Take it home, for goodness sakes. Save your calories for the next day and eat it for lunch at your desk or at home.
You don’t have to fall prey to peer pressure. Did you know that when people eat as a group that they actually can torment the one person trying to lose weight? Do you know why? It makes them feel guilty when they see you eating properly. Will it matter on your hips next Wednesday what they think? I think not. Be polite and smile and say that you are saving it for later. They will be disgusted but soon forgot about you when they order dessert. And you, will go home feeling full, satisfied in your mind that has received that wonderful message from your brain that you are full and satisfied and you can go to sleep knowing that by reducing your calories and upping your physical activity by walking, you are going to look good, feel good, and baby they are all going to be asking you how you did it!
